Giving: It's how we love. Love your best. We have been talking about stewardship, the work of bringing our time, talents and treasures to the Lord. With this passage we are reminded that we do all things for love--to love our God with all our hearts, souls and minds and to love our neighbor as our selves. This love does not come from us. We love because our God first loved us. To say that our love for God and others saves us from our sins is wrong. We do not love to earn God's favor. We love because he first loved us in Christ. So also, all our gifts, all our offerings are brought to God because of his love and in order to show love to God and neighbor. In this regard we answer the question, "Why do we brings gifts, serve or share God's love with others? Because he loved us first. His love empowers us. His love is what we are giving.
