Our Story

About Our Mission

The mission of the Lutheran Church on the Apache Reservation is "Equipping Native American Christians to lead and to serve in the universal priesthood of all believers.” The Lutheran church first arrived in Peridot, Arizona in October of 1893 and has expanded to include over 3,600 Christians,  nine congregations, two schools, one Bible Institute, six Pastors, two Evangelists, and eighteen teachers.  We continue to equip Apache Christians to share the sweet gospel of free forgiveness with fellow Apache and other tribes across the nations. Please join us as we celebrate 125 years and plan for the next phase of mission work among Native Americans.
