We walk together with the Lord forever - here's an example of putting that phrase to work in a very tangible way.

A few telephone calls. A few bulletin announcements. A few arrangements. A Thrivent Action Grant. God's servants: willing to shop, travel, and serve with a smile, willing to walk with each other and with God forever. How? just doing whatever work needs to be done.

Today at least a dozen men and women of Deer Valley Lutheran in Phoenix, AZ, came to serve as merry maids and do some spring cleaning for the Peridot-Our Savior's Lutheran Elementary School.

AND WHAT A LOT OF WORK they did.

AND WHAT A LOT OF FUN they had!

Take a peek into their day.

  1. YES - the classrooms were dusted!

  2. YES - the windows were cleaned!

  3. YES - the library was ... finally ... organized!

BUT SOMETHING MORE HAPPENED:

  • Called workers who were weary as the year rolls on were REENERGIZED.

  • Students who were getting lazy in chores are now INSPIRED.

  • Christians who were looking to serve are now FILLED WITH SATISFACTION & JOY.

and

  • OUR LORD WAS GLORIFIED as His school was tidied up, His name was honored, His servants fellowshipped, laughed and enjoyed ice cream sundaes together - and hearts were again set on fire to teach and to support WELS World Mission Work!

  • Christian brothers and sisters Bikèhgoihínan dáhaazhé biłhikah doleeł

THANK YOU Deer Valley Lutheran

THANK YOU DEAR LORD and SAVIOR - for the brothers and sisters in Christ that form our Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod - a people that walk together with God forever - to eternity!
